The hotel is very centrally located right in the heart of the city centre, with Dam square, the shopping area and numerous museums within walking distance. Opposite the hotel you can park your car at parking 'De Kolk'. Numerous museums, such as the Stedelijk Museum, Rijksmuseum and Van Gogh Museum are very easy to reach as well as Amsterdam Central Station. On op of that, the sparkling Leidseplein with its many restaurants and bars can be reached easily by public transport.

1) From Schiphol Airport: Every 20 minutes there is a train running from the airport to Amsterdam Central Station. When you arrive at the airport and you reach the central hall there is a big sign with the train information. The trains to the central station are running from 05:40 AM to 00:30 AM (go to step 2).

2) From Amsterdam Central Station: Several trams stops are available in front of the hotel but the hotel is within 5 minutes walking distance from the central station. The trams in Amsterdam are normally running from: 07:00 AM to 01:00 AM.

The location is very central and the hotel is just a 5 minute walk from centraal station.
I booked 3 rooms all of which varied wildly in terms of quality, even though they all cost the same. room 101 is one to avoid, very small and very dark. room 112 was spacious but the decor needs updating and room 519 (classed as a premium room) was the best- modern and well designed. note easytobook only shows pictures of premium rooms for this hotel.

Excellent location one of the best showers i've had in a hotel comfortable bed clean & reasonably well-equipped
My room was next to the lift shaft, so i had 2 very disturbed nights, until i managed to but some ear-plugs! room was rather dark as it had very little natural light & poor lighting.

Rude is not the word to describe the hotel staff (front desk), they really don’t know what the hospitality is they kept me at the lobby for more than 4 hours to check in i don’t know what was the reason & please note that i have asked them to give me any other type of rooms just to rest in after 7 hours flight & i told them i am ready to pay any difference on the rate. (there were available rooms but they told me we can’t change your room type)

Upon arrival we were greeted by the reception staff with a very warm welcome. the following day we asked at reception if they could print off our boarding passes for our return journey, bearing in mind there were 12 people in our party! we had megga problems as the pc in reception did not have a printer attached! the gentleman on reception was only too pleased to be of assistance and helped us tremendously, for which we were very grateful. without his help we would have had to have paid for our return journey. whatever we asked for at reception they were only too pleased to oblige. the rooms were very comfortable and clean. we would definitely stay in this hotel again when we return to amsterday. definitely recommended by all!!!!!! thank you to all who made our stay very welcome and enjoyable.

Nice rooms
Rooms were very noisey and check out was a nightmare. it took 50 mins and has resulting in me being over charged by £170. i've now got the job of getting it back!!!!

Really good location 5 minute walk from the train station and with coffee shops, bars and restaurants on the door step or a few minutes walk onto the damrak - could not fault this hotel.

Gorgeous hotel perfect for a few days in the dam! lovely room, very impressed. one of the nicest 3* hotels i seen there!! definately stay there!
Upon leavin the hotel charged us 12 euro city tax? we didnt know anythin about this and were not informed!!lucking we had twenty euros left! the photos on this site didnt look anything like our room!!! but this is through no fault of the hotel...the room was lovely and we were impressed for the price. also this site told me in sterling the hotel was £216, but i paid £246. when i called to query they said i'd need to speak to the hotel. upon talking to the bank they told me it was because of teh exchange rate on the day - which is fine, but easy to book should then only display the price in euros as this is what the hotel process they shouldnt give a price in sterling as this is depndant on the exchange rate. but it was still good value for money!

The hotel was excellent, very luxurious and good value for money. rooms were a high standard, staff very helpfull & offered to keep luggage after checkout, hotel right in the centre it was perfect. would recommend to anyone. will book with this hotel again.

I love the hotel and the location and have stayed here twice and would stay again - our room was very small this year but very clean last year we were in a room to the front of the hotel and it was larger. as i said the location was fantastic 5 min walk from central station, the magna plaza and dam square trams right in front of hotel which was handy for leindensplein etc
I booked through this website and assumed that the rooms were all paid for - when i got to the hotel i discovered that only 2 of the 3 rooms were paid for and i then had to pay for the 3rd room it was not the hotels fault but it was still very annoying as i had received no correspondence to let me know that one of the rooms still had to be paid and it was a bad start to my holiday

The location was excellent. the hotel was modern. the room was very good. the deluxe rooms are much better than the standard rooms, there's quite a difference.
If you booked a hot deal and already paid the entire room fee online but don't take your card with you, you will be asked to pay 100 euros in cash up front when checking in as a deposit just to secure paying the 5 percent city tax when checking out. most annoying if you have no credit card on you and only a certain amount of cash on you. this should be explained when booking.

If you are looking for a double bed forget it. two small singles pushed together was all i could get. even though i had requested a real double when i booked. for this reason i will not return.
