The hotel is very centrally located right in the heart of the city centre, with Dam square, the shopping area and numerous museums within walking distance. Opposite the hotel you can park your car at parking 'De Kolk'. Numerous museums, such as the Stedelijk Museum, Rijksmuseum and Van Gogh Museum are very easy to reach as well as Amsterdam Central Station. On op of that, the sparkling Leidseplein with its many restaurants and bars can be reached easily by public transport.
How to reach the Tulip Inn Amsterdam Centre?1) From Schiphol Airport: Every 20 minutes there is a train running from the airport to Amsterdam Central Station. When you arrive at the airport and you reach the central hall there is a big sign with the train information. The trains to the central station are running from 05:40 AM to 00:30 AM (go to step 2).
2) From Amsterdam Central Station: Several trams stops are available in front of the hotel but the hotel is within 5 minutes walking distance from the central station. The trams in Amsterdam are normally running from: 07:00 AM to 01:00 AM.

Clean, helpfull staff, great location, air con room is very good bit small but what hotel is not in dam. have stayed twice, will stay again.
Bit tight rooms, glass shower looks good but not most private place. but these are minor things, i'm sure its one of the better hotels in damRiley

The bed was two matresses with two separate single duvets which was very uncomfortable for a couple sleeping together. also the bathroom has glass walls which was a bit odd. having to pay local hotel tax when we left should have been brought to our attention when booking also.Anonymous

Good location, clean room. we didn't get 2 double rooms as booked on arrival, only 1 double and 1 twin, so the hotel gave us complimentary breakfasts as compensation. good use of limited space in rooms.Noisy at night and there was always a nasty smell of smoke in our room coming from the outside stairwell.Anonymous

Good location, 10 minutes walk to the main train station and a nice walk to the museem area. clean room with a good shower and comfortable bed.The room was far too hot and the heat was uncomfortable at night with no ability to change the temperature settings or turn on any air conditioning. the room also smelt quite bad at times - almost like they had a problem with the plumbing system in the hotel as we could hear the pumbing rattle anytime anyone in a nearby room flushed the loo! also the bathroom, although lovely and new, has glass walls with only the middle section frosted out. this isn't a problem if you're sharing the room with your spouse etc but i would not recommend this room for sharers who are not extremely close as the bathroom makes sharing this room somewhat of an intimate experience!!Straughan

Great friendly and informative staff. superb location - within easy walking reach of all major attractions. rooms are small but perfectly formed and very clean with a really great shower. would highly recommend it and would stay here again.Two single beds pushed together as opposed to a double bed also if you don't know each other well the glass bathroom wall gives very little privacy.Anonymous
