1) From Schiphol Airport (Amsterdam Airport): Every 20 minutes there is a train running from the airport to Amsterdam Central Station. When you arrive at the airport and you reach the central hall there is a big sign with the train information. The trains to the central station are running from 05:40 AM to 00:30 AM. The train goes every 12 minutes. The duration of the journey is about 15/20 minutes. The costs are approximately EUR 3,60 (go to step 2).

2) From Amsterdam Central Station: You can reach the hotel by tram 16 or 24 starting from the Central Railway Station. Get out at the 8th stop which is called 'Albert Cuyp Market'. Walk down the Ferdinand Bolstraat, 4th street to the left, 'Van Ostadestraat' (first street after the first traffic lights). From there you can walk to the hotel in approximately 5 minutes.

You also can take tram nr. 25. Get out at stop 'Tweede van der Helststraat,' walk in the street next to "Peters Letters" near the tram stop and take the first street to the right. The trams in Amsterdam are normally running from: 07:00 AM to 01:00 AM.

3) From any direction by car: As soon as you reach the Ring ("Ringweg") around Amsterdam (road number A10), you must leave it at exit ("afrit") RAI which is exit number S109. This means: if you come from direction "Den Haag" (A4), just go straight on until exit S109. If you come from direction "Alkmaar" (A8), first take the A10 west and then the A10 south direction "Utrecht". If you come from direction "Amersfoort" (A1) or Utrecht (A2), take the A10 south, direction "Den Haag".
After you have left the ring at exit number S109, go to the right and follow the road. You pass the RAI Congress Center. Then the main road leads to the left, but you continue to go straight on ("Scheldestraat"). After the traffic lights, crossing the "Churchill-laan", turn right into the 4th street big street on your right, "Van Ostadestraat" and you'll find us at No. 123. Look for the sign "Hotel" at your left hand, with the two bikes above it.

- helpful staff - nice breakfast - central location
- the hotel was a bit difficult to find, but that may have been because we reached there at midnight.

Early check out time at 11 o'clock and the stair steps of the hotel were too small!if you are carrying big bags with you it would be an achievement to go upstairs!

Some of the people were very friendly and eager to help. the rooms were clean.
I got the wrong impression of the hotel from the website though. we were a bit shocked when we saw the rooms. i have never stayed in amsterdam before and didn't know what to expect for the money i was paying, but if i had seen the rooms, i don't think i would have chosen to stay there. they were small, and the shared bathrooms were not very pleasant to use. especially the toilets.

We just needed a decent bed for the night in a quiet location and that is exactly what we got. it had the feel of a posh hostel rather than a hotel and that was nice too.
The pillows weren't great!
