Nice room, nice retaurant, nice staff but it could be little closer to the center of Amsterdam. Paid a lot of money for Taxi. The Hotel should change the location description. If I knew that it is 3.6 kms away from the center I wouldnt have booked this hotel.

Westcord Art Hotel is great for a few days stay in Amsterdam... Although not right in the heart of the city you can get two regular buses from Central Station ( 48 or 22) and they take around 10 - 15 mins to reach the hotel. The no 22 drops you about 200 m and the 48 straight across the road. Staff at the hotel were friendly and helpful. Storing luggage on our first and last day was no problem. Definitely recommend

Ridiculously expensive breakfast, uncomfortable matresses with very hard edges. Poor coffee and tea making facilities (poor in both quality and quantity). The hotel itself was clean & quiet, both inside and out and we did like the Brood artwork on the walls.

The only downside was the distance to the Station although we did use the buses and found this rather enjoyable and pleasant experience.The fact we didnt get a Smoking room was a Major Problem.

My girlfriend and I stayed in this hotel for three nights. Overall, though pricey it was a very pleasant stay. Though not in central Amsterdam its a 10 min bus ride on bus 22 or 48 which drops you right outside the hotel.

The hotel is very nice. Located about 5-6 bus stops from the Amsterdam centraal, ~10 minutes ride. Very clean. We did not used the restaurant, preferred to eat outside... There is a small supermarket nearby. City tax was not included into the price at the order time, we discovered it only at checkout.

enjoyed the hotel, decent location to both central and sloterdijk stations. room was very spacious. wifi was a little slow at times, but for free i wasnt complaining.staff very helpful with any questions

Pros: Everything was excellent except the temperature in the hotel was way too hot in the rooms - and we could not adjust it. we noticed almosy every room had their windows open at night so this told us the hotel could lower interior tempertures at night.

Pros: I have stayed in amsterdam a few times but this was my first visit to the westcord art hotel amsterdam was very easy to get to number 48 bus outside central station about ten minutes on the bus.one of the main reasons we booked this hotel is because they had smoking rooms was very hard to find a hotel in the dam square that lets you smoke in youre room it was a very clean hotel rooms are great really comfy beds and bathrooms are lovely and clean would use the hotel again.

Pros: I was allowed to check in earlier than advertised which helped massively. the bus information told us to get on another bus from amsterdam central when we used the bus 48 (i think) which was brilliant and easy to find!

Pros: The staff were extremely helpful in answering our questions about amsterdam in general.their command of the english language was excellent.the manager made a point of coming to speak to us and made us feel very welcome.we would stay again if we visit a second time.
Cons: The hotel is a little out of the way for tourists even given that the bus stop is outside the hotel.
