How to reach the Yamsterdam Apartments & Rooms?1) From Schiphol Airport: Every 20 minutes there is a train running from the airport to Amsterdam Central Station. When you arrive at the airport and you reach the central hall there is a big sign with the train information. The trains to the central station are running from 05:40 AM to 00:30 AM (go to step 2).
2) From Central Station: You don't have to take the tram, you can walk to the hotel in +/- 2 minutes. The trams in Amsterdam are normally running from: 07:00 AM to 01:00 AM. Standing in front of Amsterdam Central Station, you can see the Victoria Hotel. Take the alley at the right of the Victoria Hotel; At the end of the alley you see a small " change office". Take the alley left of this office and there you will find Yamsterdam; this is Nieuwezijdsarmsteeg 5.

The room had the essentials for a 2 person apartment. great location.
It was quite small for a 2 person apartment though i was there by myself i paid for a 2 person spot for more space and the fact it was missing a couple of amenities advertised ie; microwave, dvd player, also a shower curtain would have been nice.Cerqueira

Close to shops and train station.The person in charge was so rude on our arrival wen our reservation was not on his computer, he needed paper work confirming us, we have travelled all around europe for 7 weeks and not one hotel needed paper work, then he said the appartment was a studio, not what i had saw on the internet, i think we were the 1st people to use this room as there was no curtains, so 3 other buildings could see sraight in, not a good ending to our trip.preston

Central locationUnclean - no towels soaps, tea towels, dishwashing liquid etc. no cleaning gear. no wardrobes, 8 light globes missing - none working in bathroom. poor dirty cooking equipment - and don´t touch the kettle!Anonymous

Location was good and very close to central station.The staff asked me to come back later to check in which was fair enough as i was early into amsterdam. when i returned they then took me across to another apartment which i truly believe was not part of yamsterdam as they paid the guy 140 euros so i could use what was a single room with no en-suite and just a sink. they did this after i had paid them 180 euros. on the website it was billed as having private bathroom, dvd, blah blah but it has nothing. as for below i would not recommend this hotel to anyone. i have used easytobook for years and this is really the first major disappointment.Mansell

The staff were excellent - they gave us a lift to the apartment from the booking office as we had suitcases & we were tired & got soaked in the rain... The only negative was the jump in price at easter - we looked at prices to go the week before but couldnt due to work etc so we booked a week later & it nearly doubled in price.... clever..cupples

The apartment was clean and well decorated, it was within walking distance from central station and the dam.Poor directions to the apartment, if i was a first time visitor i would have struggled to locate the apartment, only given 1 key (2 of us staying) therefore we had to get a second set of keys the next day. credit card machine not working, had to go and find a atm and withdraw the money for he apartment.Anonymous

I got to see a side of the city that i had not ventured around before and also following the nearest canal brought me to my favourite street in the city, The website only indicated where you check in to yamsterdam, this being 60 seconds from central station, yet the apartment i stayed in was 4 canals behind the palace in dam square. it might be an idea for accuracy that the company provide the location of the office as well as the location of individual apartments. this is my negative point yet i must admit that i prefered the area of the city that i was located in rather than in the area the office is located inAnonymous

Lots of room and very good location. staff very friendly.The description of the room said view and balcony.....it was a basement apartment! lots of wires and bits missing, would take a handyman 48 hrs to make the room even better. also i wish hotel people in the dam did not treat us all like stoners and as if it was our first hotel/apartment experience.....we are just as smart as you!Anonymous

The apartment had everything you needed:kitchen, bathroom, place to sleep and relax. had a pretty good view and was in a good location.Some of the electrical wiring was exposed and had been painted over. there were two of us, so the size and space was fine. had there been three the apartment may have felt a bit cramped. also, the mattresses were too big for the beds.
