The Amsterdam Central Station is the only train station located in the inner city. The Amsterdam Central Station backs onto the Amsterdam harbor, and is literally surrounded by canals. The station is also just minutes from Schiphol Airport, which makes travelling through the city and to the airport very easy. On the left you will walk into the Red Light District. On the right, you will be quickly in the beautiful neighbourhood called the Jordaan and through the centre you will enter the biggest shopping street of Amsterdam called the Kalverstraat.
