Rembrandtplein is located in Amsterdam city center and known for its many bars, clubs and restaurants. The square is named after the Dutch master Rembrandt and the center of the square features a huge statue of the famous painter. Especially during pleasant days, Rembrandtplein is a great spot to sit down for a drink and relax, but it’s mainly during the night that the square attracts plenty of people, both locals and tourists, that want to enjoy the Amsterdam party scene.
Amsterdam’s Rembrandtplein has a great location, close to many tourist attractions. The famous shopping street Kalverstraaat and the floating Flower Market at the Singel are just around the corner. Halfway down the road towards Amsterdam Central Station are Dam Square, Madame Tussauds Wax Museum, the Royal Palace and the famous Red Light District. Reguliersdwarsstraat is adjacent to Rembrandtplein and also nearby is Utrechtsestraat, full of bars and restaurants.
