Located in Northern Holland, Haarlem is the one of the most visited cities in the country. Economically and historically, Haarlem is very significant to the country since the middle ages. The city is also known for their Tulip production since the early centuries. Traders and tourists go to this place to know more about tulips every weekend. Haarlem has also preserved their key structures such as the Grote Markt. This is the town center where you’ll find the town hall, and one beautiful church called Sint-Bavokerk. The Sint-Bavo Cathedral is also an important landmark. This church used to be a protestant church before it was converted into a catholic church in 1898.
However, the most unique landmark of Haarlem is probably the Teylers Museum. This 18th century museum has collected some of the best works from various parts of the country. Today, it’s the oldest museum in Netherlands. Haarlem is one great place to visit as it continues its dedication to art and history.
