Every year, the Rotterdamse Schouwburg is home to more than 500 performances. Among the more noted are the Dutch cultural performances including opera, dance, and theater groups. Dutch groups like the Scapino Ballet, Dance Works, or the RO Theater will often hold their opening nights in the Rotterdamse Schouwburg. There are actually two different performance halls in the theater – the Big Hall, or Grote Zaal, and the Little Hall, or Kleine Zaal, with 900 and 160 seats respectively.
