World Trade Center Rotterdam

The architect J.F. Staal began construction of this center in 1936, and he completed the initial work in 1940. It sat untouched on Coolsingel and the Bleursplein until 1984, then during that year construction began on a new high-rise tower on the top of this low-rise structure. The green tower reaches 93 meters, dates from 1987 and is the work of Rob van Erk. The additions and alterations make it ideal for holding trade fairs, meetings, parties, receptions and congresses. Many types of hotels in Rotterdam are close to the World Trade Center, and public transportation makes it very easy to reach.
