The Hague is capital of the province of Zuid- Holland, the seat of the Dutch government and the residence of the royal family. It lies close to the North Sea, and is the third largest city of the Netherlands. It also includes the seaside resort of Scheveningen within its city limits. Numerous international banks and commercial and industrial firms also make their headquarters in The Hague. The Hague is also a city of the arts.
