How to reach the AAE New York Howard J's Hotel?From JFK Airport/Brooklyn by car: Take Belt Parkway East to exit 20. Stay On Service Road-South Conduit Avenue. Take S. Conduit to second traffic light, make left. Hotel is on the right.
From La Guardia Airport by car: Take the Grand Central Parkway East to the Van Wyck Expressway South. Once on the Van Wyck, take it to Exit 2, Rockaway Blvd. Make a left at the light onto Rockaway Blvd. Hotel on left 1 mile up.
From Brooklyn by car: Take Belt Parkway East to Exit 20. Stay on service road (So. Conduit), at second traffic light make a left, Hotel is on right.
From Long Island by car : Take the Southern State Parkway to the Belt Parkway West. On Belt Parkway, take exit 21A, Rockaway Blvd. At traffic light make a right and the hotel is on the right.

It was fine and comfortable enough for just one over-night stay. i think you would not want to stay longer because it is very basic and not convenient to anything, but for the jfk airport it is good. like everything at this hotel, the staff seemed a bit chaotic but were actually very helpful, kind and polite.11 Sep 09

The hotel was exceptionally noisy; both by a main road and internally. no effort had been made to noiseproof the rooms, e.g. dobule glazing. i would seriously not reccomend anyone staying there if they want to sleep.
