Built in 1928, Beekman Tower Hotel is one of Manhattan's true Art Deco masterpieces. The distinctive tower, a designated landmark, rises prominently in one of New York's most exclusive neighbourhoods, just a stone's throw away from the United Nations. Host to numerous foreign dignitaries, the Beekman offers special comforts and modern conveniences to business and leisure travelers alike. In addition to its very sleek and spacious suites, each with a private kitchenette, the hotel offers two restaurants, including the 26th-floor Top of the Tower venue, with two outdoor dining terraces boasting spectacular views of the city and a fitness center. Wireless Internet access (subject to an extra-charge) is available throughout the entire hotel and pets are welcome. IMPORTANT: the hotel will undergo renovation starting from March 2008 (rooms, lobby, one restaurant, meeting/banquet space). Works will take place during the day until 5 p.m., an empty floor will be left as a noise buffer while renovating the lobby and public areas, and the work-in-progress area will be conceiled with visually attractive walls and dividers. Renovations are not expected to inconvenience guests during their stay.

Generally, it is good, but they claim they are 4 star hotel, in my opinion they are not up to that standard at least for the room we stay. in addition, the telephone price is unreasonablly expensive.
I made a 20 minutes call to another state in america, the fee is $42.00, i think it is too high. if they want to charge this high, they should mention this clearly on the phone, so people will not feel being trappedCooney
