We stayed in a spacious, characterful 'superior double' suite - very clean with good facilities incl. en-suite bathroom, tv, comfy armchairs and in-room safe. although the hotel is perhaps less luxurious than some higher-star hotels, the staff was much more friendly and accommodating, and the same faces staffed reception throughout our stay. funky artwork and a relaxed feel made it a great stay - we spent a lot more time chilling out in the room than we would on a normal sightseeing trip because it was so pleasant.

The gershwin hotel is set in a great location. the rooms were clean and of reasonable size for new york city. there was a great chill out room downstairs and our room had a bath/shower which was excellent.
