It's a safe hotel for the price as well as in a great location with easy access to the train. it's in a fun and lively neighborhood.The hotel restroom facilities could have been cleaner, but for the price, it was expected.Pirounakis

Very clean room and shared bathroom, great guy on the reseption angel.. :) 1min walking to the subway on the 14th str and 8th ave...An elevator :) if you dont like stairs dont book.. :)Jones

Great location, close to everything, good size rooms, bed good size and comfortable, and met my expectations, what more do you need? if i went back tomorrow i wpould stay thereOnly negative would be some traffic noise, i was at the front, mostly just cabs wanting to honk their horns to let the car in front that the lights had changed rather than waiting the 2 seconds.R.Visser

I was met by a friendly guy who explained that i'd be sharing a bathroom/toilet with two others (though only those two others had keys, so it was pretty private), and shown around the room. each day clean sheets were provided and sharing the bathroom wasn't an issue in that time. there were clean towels, clean soaps and shower gels provided and the room itself was tidy. i had a tv, fridge, coffee maker, microwave and spare plugs to use for charging aparatus.
whilst it isn't a hotel (no room service, no extortionate minibar), it provides you with a room and cleanliness, safety, and is less than a minute's walk to a subway, five minutes to walk to some amazing bars and extremely central to having fun in new york.That i couldn't stay longerAnonymous

Good help from management when is in hotel1- very noisy when you are in front of the street 2- no air conditionner 3- some bugs 4- no phone in hotel for emergency 3-no staff after 8pm in evening Anonymous

The location is excellent.Bugs in room 12 where we stayed for first week. fridge didn't work in either of the rooms we had. lots of tourists arrived at hotel but no one was there to greet them or show them their rooms. jose should live on ground floor so that he is first point of contact. room 4 is too small for three people. stayed in there for one week but i complained and was given room 4 which was much better but the fridge didn't work in that room either.KLEINE-DETERS

People have bad things to say in their reviews - but this is not a hotel. you get your own room with a fridge and a microwave and a bed. you're left alone. there is no curfew and no restrictions. the tv has all kinds of cable. and it's at the top of greenwich village. it was clean, and cheap, and basic. what more do you want?Jackson

Please don't think that the ppor comments reflect this hotel. there is not a n/a section that i could tick. the hotel staff are there to only give you a key when you arrive and that is it, this is like a residential hotel, you will be "living" in new york. our room, the meatpacking room, was amazing! a cute little bedsit style room with a raised kitchenette and a private bathroom it was lovely, just as i expected. the hotel do not offer any services or facilities to be honest it is a holiday in which you cater for you! it was great, it gave you a bit of an insight in to how people live! the area was great, literally seconds away from a subway, which is cool, easy to use and reasonably priced but it is also within easy walking distance of all of the major places...empire state, times square. there are small take outs, delis etc around you but the best place we ate at and returned daily for at least our breakfast was the good stuff dinner, 2 blocks up on west 14th street near 6th avenue. the food is amazing, the staff are great and the breakfast really sets you up for the day!My only disappointment with the hotel was the smell in the hallways. as you can imagine you are living with several different cultures and all these are cooking their style of food...this mixed together was not pleasant!noltes
