It also has a 360-foot pathway that shows visitors the development of the universe. The Fossil Halls with the world's largest collection of vertebrate fossils with almost one million specimens. Most fossils (85 percent) on view in the hall are real and not plaster casts of the real fossil. There are also two dinosaur halls. The Culture Halls featuring work from many of the world's most respected anthropologists. There are displays from the traditional cultures of Asia, Africa, North and South American, and the Pacific. The Mammal Halls with anatomically correct specimens of animals from all over the world and from different times in history. Visitors get a chance to see how and where the animals lived and how they behaved. The Hall of Biodiversity which opened in 1998 and dedicates 11,000-square-feet to educating visitors on the need to preserve the biodiversity of Earth. The Bird Halls with information about local, regional and global birds. Seasonal exhibitions like, The Butterfly Conservatory, are available as well. New exhibitions are regularly added and visitors should check with the museum to see what's currently on display. The museum also has four stores with gifts from all around the world, and an IMAX theater.
