staff were very friendly and helpful.
great location for all the sights.There is currently renovation of the ground floor reception going on so the entrance to the hotel is through a very dusty and noisy building site ! had to be done i suppose . . and we had been advised of this before booking.Anonymous

None.There was a major renovation going on and this was not a hotel but a building construction site - no lounge, bar, reception, restaurant, breakfast facility or whatever. it was a mess and a bloody shame and we left earlier.van Meurs

Ik was 5 dagen in new york. mijn dochter studeert daar gedurende 3 maanden. de kamer was prima: comfortabel, goede bedden, goede kwaliteit handdoeken en kamerjassen. fijn om 's ochtends de new york times op de mat te vinden. is één ochtend overgeslagen, maar ja. de locatie is uitstekend. geen last gehad van geluidsoverlast. Ik vraag me af of de airco in de badkamer voldoende is. maakte een ietwat verouderde indruk. natuurlijk is het jammer dat op dit moment de lobby verbouwd wordt, maar was geen probleem.Liu

Staff was friendly and accommodatingThe hotel lobby is being remodeled and the hotel looks like a bomb went off because of the work being done. you had to "duck and cover" getting off the elevators because of the scaffolding and construction crew. directions to reception which is now on the 3rd floor were off to the side where they could not be seen when you walk in. this work will probably continue until the end of 2009, so some sort of warning to prospective guests is appropriate.Anonymous

Great location, great room. we had an amazing view of the empire state building and the staff were really friendly and helpful. the lobby is being redone but did not effect our stay at all and there is a great cafe called pax right next door. great breakfasts, bagels, french toast, muesli so something for everyone.Anonymous

It was possible to get online without any service fees. breakfast was prompt and hot. I had a reaction to the detergent used to clean the sheets. i don't have allergies or sensitive skin and suggest using less harsh chemicals. front desk staffing was not enough to handle volume of guests, and likely, as a result, staff was short and somewhat rude. they did handle check in efficiently, but without any hint of friendliness or warmth. i do not recall the doormen greeting me or any other guests upon entry to the hotel.Anonymous

Great location. lobby & restaurants closed for construction; temporary checkin on the 3rd floor. would have been good to know this at the time of reservation. the hotel has a very small workout room and lovely plush towels and good bed linen. should be a wonderful hotel when the renovation is complete.Anonymous
