Very central location within short walk of central park, times square and broadway.
As soon as we arrived to check in the hotel wanted all payment upfront (over $1800) without letting us see the room first as well as a $50 refundable deposit for incidentals.maybe this is all standard in ny i dont know. rooms are supposed to be ready by 3pm for check in, our room wasn t ready until after 6pm and after a 7 hour flight we were exhausted.i had to ask to speak to the manager and complain as we returned every hour to be told the room was stil not ready. not acceptable especially after just handing over $1800. rooms are very basic but clean. really only paying for the location. park central across the road looked a lot nicer from the outside. im not sure i would return to this hotel it's location is the only reason it's busy.

When we asked for extra pillows they arrived 5 minutes later. we had problems with the toilet and the maintenance man was very quick.
The rooms - or hotel need modernising - the toilet did not flush properly - staff were not very helpful before we arrived when i had questions about the hotel.

Most of the staff was very friendly and provided good service.
There should be a breakfast restaurant instead of the cafè. it is not fair that you must wait for a seat - if there was a breakfast restaurant there would be space for everybody. the aircondition/heating system in the room was noising at outdated. overall the wellington could use a makeover.

The wellington is in a gr8 location walking distance to central park, times square, shops, and the subway. we had trouble with the toilet, maintenance man was there within 2 minutes of our call.
We had a fridge & microwave but no plates or cutlery.

The hotel location was excellent, just a few minutes' walk to central park, times square, shops, and heaps of eating places, and the subway is at the door. our room was lovely, everything worked well, and the staff were great. i would definitely stay at the wellington hotel again.

The staff were very helpful but it was the location of the hotel that was excelent.
Our room was on the 27th floor looking down times square, the lights of time square flashed all night unfortunately you were not able to draw the curtains and we found it difficult to sleep.

The hotel was in a good location and within all modes of public transport.
The only negative for me was there were no tea/coffee making facilities and no fridge in the room

Actually the hotel was very nice and i would recommend the hotel to others, however, we personally would not stay there again.
My husband is in a wheelchair and although i did ask about handicapped rooms and they said they didn't have any but had bars in the shower. this was ok, but i never dreamed in this day and age that it would be a problem to get into the hotel. it took four men to lift my husband over the curb. between the electric wheelchair and my husband the weigh was about 450 lbs. (250 wc and 190 my husband). you could buy a three foot ramp for about $100 to recify this problem. it also was inconvenient to have to ask the bell men to put out the ramp every time we wanted to leave the hotel. you could install a small one wheelchair lift on the left hand side of the staircase. this is probably a little costly but worth the cost. also, the electric wheel chair didn't fit in the room therefore it had to be stored, another inconvenience. it was luckly that we took the manual wheelchair.

Hotel very well positoned in the centre of the city, close to most places of interest and a stones throw from the subway system.
A very busy hotel, lots of coming and going. if you're looking for a quiet weekend then this is not the place for you.
