Great location, it was my partners birthday and i asked if we could have a room with a view of the empire state and they gave us a great room on the 10th floor with a great view of it! room 1018 if you are going!Richards

Most of the staff were very friendly especially when we needed to print our on-line booking form for our return
flight. girls on the information desk were also very
helpful. room was a good size and was very clean. we had
fresh sheets every day which caused a problem when my pyjamas
went with them to the laundry by mistake. they appeared the
next day fortunately. we had two minor complaints which were dealt with promptly. the position of the hotel was very good and most of the time it was quite quiet at night.When we first arrived we didn't think the staff on the desk were very welcoming. breakfast in the lobby was ok but a bit of a scramble some mornings as there were two big groups staying at the hotel. it sometimes took a while to replace the hot water and milk when it ran out. unusual to get a breakfast in ny, i gather, so it was better than nothing. Hotel staff were efficient and friendly. room size was better than expected, cleanliness excellent. morning coffee/tea and muffins provided in the lobby made a very good start to the day and was always hot and fresh. overall a very good hotel in a convenient position.Anonymous

Room was large and clean, well equipped room with iron, safe, hair drier, tv, radio etc. no adjoining door to other guests room (this drives me mad) great location (particularly for shopping), good value hotel. having tea/coffee and muffin at breakfast time for all guests in lobby area was nice to have to start off the day.Can't find much wrong with this place - no it's not ultra modern, doesn't have a bar or restaurant (all available nearby), but its clean and comfortable and good value. only minor negative is noise from outside after 7am - it is a city and not entirely the hotels fault - better sound proofing of windows would be good.

Hotel with character and good location. rooms very clean and comfortable.Concierge information about transport to airport not very helpful. clearly keen to sell private car or shuttle - for us the shuttle times were not convenient and we were told a yellow taxi would be "by metre" when in fact they advertise a flat rate $45 fee plus bridge toll charge. this compared with quote of $79 for private car. suggest they offer more unbiased information.Hall
