Auckland’s Ascot Hospital is a large, private hospital offering a variety of medical services. From surgery and radiology to cardiac critical care, Ascot provides a full offering of services seven days a week. Ascot Hospital works in conjunction with Mercy Hospital to provide a number of essential specialist services, ranging from consultation on particular conditions to diagnosis and treatment for a variety of relatively rare disorders. The combined MercyAscot Hospital is the largest private hospital in all of New Zealand.
At Ascot Hospital, there is an area for dropping off patients and visitors, as well as free parking for one hour at the front of the building – for those intending to stay longer, there is a carpark at the back of the hospital, where the first 30 minutes is free of charge. The front entrance of the hospital is open 24 hours, though the rear doors are only open between 7am and 5pm.
