Hotels in Manawatu-Wanganui
The Manawatu-Wanganui region of New Zealand covers an area of approximately 13,300 square miles. It is located in the central and lower North Island, and is one of the most picturesque places in all of New Zealand. Manawatu-Wanganui is the perfect place to walk among the native bush, and forget about the worries of the world; if only for a little while. The Wanganui National Park is home to majestic land that is still mostly untouched by the hands of man. The western side of Wanganui is defined by a rugged coastline and soft sandy bays the lead to the Tasman Sea. Even the main town area of Wanganui still holds much of the old-time attractiveness that was so prevalent in the early twentieth century. Many of the storefronts are original, and have been restored to the charm they held in the early 1920s and 1930s. The Manawatu-Wanganui region experiences only slight changes in its seasonal climate so theres never a bad time to visit here.
