If you fly into Bergen, Norway from abroad, chances are you'll land at Bergen Airport, Flesland, the second largest airport in the country. Opened in 1955, it was built using NATO funds and continues to function as an airport for both military and civilian flights, serving 16 domestic and 19 international destinations. Several of the planes landing here are also small aircraft operating regionally, adding to the amount of traffic flowing through the airport.
There are a number of hotels in Bergen that are located within minutes of Bergern Airport, Flesland, making it convenient to get to and from the transport location. Ground transportation is available by bus or car and can take you straight to your hotel or to nearby attractions, such as the Fisketorget (Fish Market) or the Bergen Cathedral (Domekirken in Norwegian).
