Founded in 1971, the Arboretum and Botanical Garden at Milde is a favorite place for tourists staying in hotels in Bergen to visit. With an area of 125 acres, the arboretum in Norway is one of the most beautiful places to visit in the entire country, full of greenery and blooms. The area is full of hills, rocky gorges, and a small lake with a shoreline of several kilometers. Amid a number of attractions such as Mount Floyen, the Bergen Fish Market, and the Bergen Aquarium, this can be included in a day's outing with good planning.

Bergen’s Arboretum and Botanical Garden at Milde is in best form in May and June when the rhododendron flowers and in July and August when the Rosarium is in full bloom. Year round, though, the foreign trees and shrubs planted all around are beautiful. The area is one of Norway’s best places for walking through the woods or taking a swim.
