Norway’s coastal town of Lyngdal is one of its most charming. The town is quiet and remote, but its beaches, Kvavik and Rosfjord, are some of Norway’s most popular. During the summer, you’ll find lots of people enjoying the sun and water sports available along the temperate Norwegian coast. Many of the hotels in Lyngdal are seaside resorts, offering restaurants and other activities right on the water. Fishermen will be in heaven with all the ocean fishing and fresh water lake fishing available.

In addition to enjoying the beaches and great seafood while you’re here, you’ll also want to visit the Lyngdal museum, with its many exhibitions and tour the Lutheran church in Austad, just seven kilometers south of town. And, don’t miss Sorlandsbadet, an indoor water park and fitness center. It offers all sorts of recreational opportunities for the family. Check out the Lyngdal Culture Center too. This is the home of many special events, including fairs, concerts and theater.
