The largest island of the group referred to as the Pearl Islands, Isla del Ray is a tropical island covered in dense green foliage with an abundance of water. Besides, obviously, the beach, you will also find rivers, waterfalls and natural springs throughout the island. The waters, unpolluted, are clean and crystal clear, home to sea turtles and game fish. Off the coast of the island you can see whales and dolphins, as well. The island is also known for housing the small village of San Miguel.

The island stretches over seventy four thousand acres, and sports fisherman have set more than two hundred International Game and Fishing Association Records on this island. Many tours offer stops at this island, but it may be better to simply rent a boat or take a ferry and visit the island for a weekend, or even weeklong, stay.
