Pirre Mountain is not an attraction for the faint of heart, not only because of the breathtaking view provided by the lookout point upon the mountain, but because of the demanding track to and up the mountain itself. The view is a proportionate reward and the climb makes it all the sweeter. A humid jungle trail, you'll journey from Cana Field Station through a rainforest filled with spider monkeys, howler monkeys sloths and various snakes. The trek may put even seasoned veteran hikers ill at ease, but you'll also feel like Indiana Jones himself as you take in the magnificent jungle experience.

When you get to the peak's summit, the bird's eye view of the area, including Darien National Park, will be well worth the trip. Make sure to pack a lunch and plenty of water and be prepared to spend a whole day on this trip. For experienced trailblazers only!
