They were apologetic about overbooking and gave us a generous discount.
Although we emailed in advance to remind them that we would be arriving at 9:30pm on date booked, by the time we got to hotel (just after 9pm) there was not a room available for us, so we were redirected to nearby hotel pax for the first night, which was terrible!

You could see all the wires, the light bolts where broken in de hall. the room was really poor and smelly. staff was not friendly. i would not recommend this hotel

The staff was very kind and helpfull. english language was not a problem. everything in the room was working. it was a great value for money.
The first impression was not too positive, but the location and the friendliness of the staff was made me to forget the cleaning standards.

Most of the staff were pleasant
Room very basic and somewhat bijou for a triple room. breakfast was poorly organised (e.g. constantly had to ask for more cereal bowls and cold milk, some cutlery/crockery dirty, coffee dispenser labelled as "hot water"). litter deposited outside back window gave a sloppy impression.

Appear to over book rooms. initially indicated that they didn't have one of the rooms we booked for the first night and tried to get us to agree to squeeze into one room. but eventually gave us both rooms we booked.

We didn't have one
After booking two rooms, the hotel failed to reserve one so we ended up having to find somewhere else to stay. should have taken head of the warnings on here that they don't check their online bookings regularly even though the two rooms were booked within ten minutes of each other!

Working on refurbishment, was noisy. the electrics in the rooms seemed a bit dodgy. bedside lights not working but were fixed.

No towels in the room when we arrived.
