The staff were great, helping us out quickly and without any fuss whenever we needed. the metro is close by, so it is easy to get around paris and you can in fact walk to most of the attractions without too much bother. we had a free upgrade to the superior double room - the bed was massive, the room spacious enough, nice bathroom and a big flatscreen tv with a few english channels.Room service and mini bar are obviously rediculously overpriced (6 euro for a beer, 23 euro for some smoked salmon), but we wouldn't have bothered with them if my partner hadn't felt unwell one night. le tour de france was on, due to arrive in paris the next day, yet their tv service didn't have the french broadcaster with the live coverage (just german eurosport with hughlights at 11pm).Eberli
