Because of its central location close to metro station 'Rue du Bac', all tourist attractions in Paris are easy to reach by public transport as well as on foot. For example, metro line 12 will take you directly to Parc des Expositions and the Sacré Coeur. The RAPID-TRANSIT train Line C will take you directly to Château de Versailles and the airport of Orly.
How to reach the Hotel Bac Saint Germain?From Airport Charles de Gaulle: Take the B3 (blue) RATP/SNCF train and get off at Châtelet Les Halles. From there, take metro line 1 (yellow) direction La Défence and change metro at metro stop 'Concorde' to metro line 12 (green) direction Mairie d'Issy and get off at metro stop Rue du Bac. The hotel is around the corner.
From Airport Orly: Take the C6 (yellow) SNCF train and change trains at Antony station to RATP/SNCF train B4 and get off at St. Michel - Notre Dame. From there, take metro line 10 (orange) direction Boulogne Pont de St Cloud and change metro at Sèvres Babylone to metro line 12 (green) direction Porte de la Chapelle and get off at metro stop Rue du Bac. Very clean, quiet area. hotel has 24 hour reception, immaculate. would definitely stay there again.Just that the mattress's were a tad hard, so found it difficult to get over to sleep. not worth a complaint though.fleig

The hotel was extremely tiny...even by european standards. only two pillows on bed, ridiculously small elevator, could barely open the bedroom door to enter because of awkward set-up, towels were threadbare....i could go on.Anonymous

The staff were very helpful from the start. our room was ready upon our arrival and we had no problems whatsoever. great location, walking distance from louvre and restaurants. metro right outside the hotel.Its a little overpriced, but for the great location you can live with that.Anonymous

Great location, so you give up some luxuries to be in a great place for a reasonable rate. relaxing continental breakfast on terrace for extra fee.Hand held shower nozzle, no shower curtain/door, and weak hair dryer. room has tv but no refrigerator or coffee maker.Anonymous

In very good location - right beside metro and 15 minute walk to louvre. in very nice,if expensive area.Reviews said rooms were small but were also very basic,not much effort with decor at all.Taintor

Great location to base yourself to see the sights. the hotel staff were all very pleasant and the room was clean.Getting in and out of the shower was an experience due to the location of the toilet and the wash basin. we went for breakfast one morning in the hotel but there was no one there to serve us. after 10 minutes we left. Very good situation, very close to the metro station. helpful, polite and friendly staff.The tap in the washbasin was broken, and the heating had not been left on prior to our arrival - it took a while to heat up the room.
the lft stuck and we were plunged into darkness for a couple of minutes. we didn't use it again...
