The room was clean and tidy, it was in a nice place and it wasn't expensive. i would recommend this hotel to anyone who needs just a cheap base point for seeing paris. i don't agree with other reviews, especially the negative noise and cleanliness reviews. anyone expecting quiet shouldn't be staying in a city. also, keep an eye out for the biggest cat you have ever seen in the foyer who loves cuddles!Anonymous

The owner gave us information in english, was very friendly and introduced our children to the hotel mascot cat "gigi". we saved a lot of money, stayed in a clean room with a quaint french atmosphere located right next to a paris metro stop! Anonymous

Lively area, walking distance from sacre coeur and very close to metro stop. reception is helpfull, wireless internet, rooms are clean.Rooms are maybe bit old and tiny. need to hold the shower while showering but enough water.Anonymous

Excellent location few steps away 2 subway lines, supermarkets, etc just steps away, very central, friendly staff, very easy stay without any major problem. heating worked fine(important...)The rooms are neglected, carpet is very stained, as is wall paper, corridors in same state, common toilet just ok but not looking as clean as desired. but as paris is a quite expensive capital for budget travellers, my feeling is that it is great value for the fare we payed. i was grateful to stay in such a greart location for the 50 something euros we payed a night for a double room with shower and sink inside!Anonymous

Great location. excellent value for money for a no-frills stay - just what we wanted. room furnishings lovely. will book againHairs underneath the bed - dicovered when retrieving somthing dropped. we didn't have a toilet in our room and the loo roll ran out in the toilet in the corridorWalker

The location was great--next to the metro simplon station and also walking distance to everything in montmartre. the room was large, and there was free wifi! hosts are very hospitable.Room smelled funny, like mold. Kotsopoulos

The hotel is literally across the street from a metro stop--makes going into the city center easy. shower in room with hot water every time i used it. room was cleaned on a daily basis. metro map and tourist information available at front desk area. the man working the desk let us check in about 30 minutes early and was very nice. cheap, no frills, convenient place to lay your head at night. for us, the room was fine because we only wanted a place to sleep and were not there except for those hours and the time it took to shower and get ready to head out sightseeing: met our needs.Walls must be incredibly thin because, as other reviews say, you can hear everything. doors shutting sound like they are slamming. there was a sick woman in the room either beside or above us who we could hear hacking and coughing in the mornings. the building is obviously older, so this can't really be helped and we were made aware by other reviews. likewise, the blankets and carpeting are not the newest, but serve their function. Hotel zag er aan de buitenkant perfect en gerenoveerd uit, echter van binnen vervallen en afgeleefd. prijs was ook laag dus dat hadden we verwacht. buurtje, parkje en lokatie vonden wij wel leuk. grote van de (geschakelde kamers voor 4 personen met douche en toilet) was goed!! kamers uitstekend geschikt voor 4 personen met 2x dubbel bed. eén van de dubbele bedden was wel erg hard. kamer werd schoongemaakt, nieuwe handdoeken en lakens waren schoon.Hotel van binnen zwaar verouderd. aan de kamer was al jaren niets gedaan. vlekkerige vloerbedekking, gaten en vlekken in de oude sprei, overal oude geschilderde leidingen kris kras door kleine wc en douche. marotta
