For a two star hotel it met our needs admirably. we wanted cheap and cheerful - some place to sleep and clean up and it did the job just fine. for the price, to have a full bath with lots of hot water was a bonus. it was close to many of the principal sites we wished to visit while in paris. the staff were friendly and language was not a problem.
Our room was adjacent to the stair well, so there was some noise filtering into the room, plus the people in the room above were heavy footed. Back

Mon reve is a comfortable mid-range hotel that is very convenient to the metro and major attractions around paris. a great base for sight-seeing and handy to a number of good cafes and restaurants. if you are not too fussy about where you stay, mon reve is an excellent choice.The room was quite tiny and hard to move around in the shower but the positive aspects definitely outweighed this inconvenience.Fisher

The room was clean, when u 1st walk into the hotel its 1st impression is very positive. the directions to find it were excellent & it was close to everything. there was always hot running water and room service came everyday to clean. nothing was ever taken from our room. the hotel staff in the day were very polite and helpful.On our stay we had the same guy at the desk 4 3 nights. he was very rude, we arrived around 11pm due to a late flight and he was huffing as he was trying to snooze. he was inpolite & unaproachable. the room was not as desribed. the curtains were hanging off the rails in the room. the satelite tv was around 10channels all in french. the room was very very basic and horribly decorated. the walls were marked and the carpet was in desperate need of been replaced. there were tiles missing out the bathroom walls.
the mirror was lying on the floor, & when we 1st arrived the room smelt strongly of tabbacco smoke. i was led to believe we had a view from our window, our view was a brick wall. we had the room booked for 3nights but ever morning around 9:30 room service would knock on the door, and she kept knocking until she had woke us, wanting to come in and clean which we found really annoying as even on our last day the room did not need to be vacated until 12 noon. It was a nice quiet hotel with a clean bathroom and a good sized room.We were told we would get a double bed, but then they gave us two single beds that had been pushed together. then you end up sliding through the crack in the middle during the night.Anonymous
