How to reach the Hotel Splendid Tour Eiffel?From Airport Orly: Take the C6 (yellow) SNCF train and change trains at Antony station to the RER B train and get off at 'Denfert Rochereau'. From there, take metro line 6 direction 'Charles de Gaulle Étoile' and change metro at metro stop 'La Motte Piquet Grenelle'. Change to metro line 8 direction 'Créteil-Préfecture' and get off at the next metro stop 'École Militaire'. The hotel is at walking distance from the metro station.

On the very first night we were told that the room that we had reserved was not available due to a dignatary wanted to extend his stay. also on another night we were bumped out because one of their "regulars" were coming to town. i'm sorry but in my opinion if you have a reservation then the reservation should be honored. my sister was escourted across the street. not good!! nor was is a good stay.Anonymous

The location is great. the view of the eiffel tower from our room (506) was beautiful. it was also easy access to the metro station.
Our room (506) was extremely small. after a long day of sightseeing it would have been nice to be able to spread out a bit and relax. but the bed was very uncomfortable and the pillows were lumpy and tattered looking. there's only one luggage rack so if you have more than one piece of luggage you have to put the other on the floor and keep bending over to get at your stuff. also the bathroom in very small. if you're over 5'7" you have to sit sideways on the toilet. the breakfast was not worth 12euros. for 179euros a night i expected a little bit more.

Right near the eiffel tower and was walkable. very good spot for bars and resturants! just make sure you take enough money! two beers cost 20 euro!!!!I emailed them saying we were there for our honeymoon and yet although given a great room we were based right nex to a room having renovations done to it and was woken at 8am both mornings with them banging. when i complained on the second monring (we were checking out) i was offered another room - bit pointless if we are checking out 3 hours later!!!!!!!Nikitin

Great location and bar prices for drinks not too bad When i booked this through easytobook it said it had air conditioning and also iron and ironing board what it fails to mention is that air con is only available on junior suites and there is iron and ironing board but it is not in your room you have to go down to the basement after breakfast is served to use it!!! to be honest if i had of known there was no air con i would have booked a different location for the time i went aug 20 as it was like a sauna i the roomDowman

Location was very good, near resturants and a view of the eiffel tower as soon as you leave the hotel.Rooms very very small, no built in air con, had a fan which blew around hot air, so was more like walking into a sauna!Franklin

Location ok, but the latin quarter would be a better choice. not many restaurants to choose from. this hotel is in the business district.On the day of our arrival we were informed that our room was not available as they had a delagation stay an extra day. after flying for 15 hours it was very disturbing that although we had a reservation they did not have a room for us.
the room was advertised with air conditioning and a safe box, however, neither was included in the room, and even though it was printed that these items were included on our reservation, we were told they were not responsible to provide these items. all and all a nightmare experience.Mrs Jill Mears

It was in the perfect location for us with both of our rooms having a view of the tower. the hotel is very close to the underground and within easy walking distance of teh tower, river and so many other attractions. we loved it and would recommend the hotel.We did use the hotel for breakfast on the first morning and found the room very tight for space, with strangers sharing the same table. for the same price you can sit outside a local cafe and watch the world go by.Werner

The best thing about this hotel is it's location. eiffel tower was in clear view out our window. easy walking distance to eiffel tower and close to metro station - which was very easy to use! many good eating places and a small grocery store only a block away, bakeries were easy to find. room was ok sized for two people and bathroom/shower was very nice. our room had two twin beds that were 'camper-quality' at best. we took out the items in the frig and filled w/our own supplies from the 'shopi' down the street. except for the price, which was a little $$$, our overall experience was good.We didn't find the staff especially friendly or helpful, but they weren't discourteous either.Brophy

The room was not very spacious but comfortable, clean and with a good view. the hotel staff were friendly, helpful and spoke good english.The room was a little noisy (due to it's good location) and could do with a revamp but generally good condition. the room was not very spacious but it wasn't really a problem.
