Below you find reviews that guests wrote about their stay in Hotel Viator Paris, based on personal experiences.
It was cheap! area wasn't the best but there were restaurants and boulangeries nearby. you get what you pay for at the end of the day. we didn't have a bathroom but there was a toilet a few doors down from our room. cheap and relatively cheerful.
It took 3 metro rides to get to the hotel from gare du nord - awkward with heavy luggage!
staff weren't that forthcoming with help, although thankfully we didn't really need any.

We booked 2 rooms for 80 euros but when arrived at the hotel they only provided 1 room and not held the rooms despite the fact we had given a credit card guarantee.the hotel receptionist demanded 100 euros for 1 room. they said my credit cards were not rejected and demanded cash. my credit cards worked in every machine i used so this was a ploy by the recptionist to take cash. evenually we paid 80 euros cash for 1 room even though we had booked 2 for 80 euros total. the shower in the room did not work.

Is in a great local area, fantastic boulangerie just diagonally across the road at the junction. staff were friendly. room was small but adequate.
Staff did not speak very good english so we struggled a little. also were not told in description of hotel that a shower is an extra 2.50 euros each. when says shared bathroom it means you get a sink in your room, share one toilet per floor (there are about 6-8 rooms per floor), and 2 showers downstairs. also no lift so if have heavy luggage be sure to get a room on the first floor!

The night staff were helpful as long as they did not have to move from behind the desk. the day staff - one in particular a young morocan gentleman was more than helpful, he explained how we could get to where we wanted and even kept our luggage after we'd checked out until we we ready to go to the airport.
the room was very clean and extra pillows were delivered promptly when requested (by the helpful young moroccan gentleman)
The accommodation was very basic but clean. there was no facilty to make tea/coffee in the room and the ensuite for which we paid extra came with one small bar of soap. there was no lift in the hotel and access to our room on the fourth floor was via a very narrow, steep, spiral staircase while ok for me, nearly killed my 74 year old mother. unfortunately there was nothing in the information about the hotel before hand to alert us to this however it would seem that this is common in paris hotels.if i were to sum up the hotel in one phrase it would probably be "every expense spared"

The personnel working the desk were helpful.
I checked out of my room on a monday and was unable to use my credit card. i had to pay cash and would have had a serious problem if i did not have the cash available. they knew this upon check in and i could have paid then.
