Avenue des Champs Elysees Paris

The most famous street in Paris is known as the Avenue des Champs-Elysees. It was built in the 1600's, but did not get a lot of attention from high society until just after the period of the French Revolution. This boulevard winds from the Arc de Triomphe to the Place de la Concorde. During the day, an eager tourist can easily find fast-food restaurants and stores all along the street. There is fine dining and a lot of especially wonderful boutiques. The nightlife of the Avenue des Champs-Elysees is always exciting. There are crowds that stroll along both sides of the avenue and the culture is rich with marches, celebrations and many fantastic events.
