Bois de Boulogne Paris

Bois de Boulogne is probably the most unique park that you could find in Europe. It is known as the "main lung" of Paris because it is bounded by many beautiful oak and cherry trees and is a breath of fresh air. Bois de Boulogne is near Boulogne-Billancourt which is a small suburb close to the park. It is set along the western edge of the 16 eme' arrondissement of Paris. This is one of the largest parks in the world outsizing even Central Park in New York City and Hyde Park in London. Visitors who are historically inclined may find the Bois de Boulogne a good place for strolling because of its rich history. Actually, you can visit the Musée des Arts et Traditions Populaires which is a very famous Museum of Folk Art and, for people who love sports, there are sporting amenities, race tracks, pools and stadiums all along this area. Bois de Boulogne has a lot of quaint pathways that are hidden within the trees and there are many different ways for the travelers to discover them. It is common for Paris residents to either walk or drive through the park during the day and many people take special rides in horse-drawn carriages. Most tourists usually find it difficult to see everything in Bois de Bouogne even if they have tried to spend a few days in this wonderful park.
