La Defense Paris

In the 17th century the Grand axis of Paris was initiated in the Tuileries Gardens. This axis was eventually extended beyond the river Seine and it finally became the center of a major business district in Paris. There is now an empty office building there that contains a gallery of art and a place where visitors can view the surrounding areas of Paris. La Defense is the name of this location and it symbolizes the very essence of classical modernist art. The works of art here are astounding and the tourists that visit are often fascinated with the sights. La Defense is filled with large pools and the surroundings have been created so as to seem almost animated by the waterfalls and jets that are carefully placed in its vicinity. Visitors will find many shaded seating areas and delicate earthen bocce courts that they can enjoy during their stay. They can also relax and enjoy a cup of coffee at any of the open-air cafes that are located around La Defense.. The sides of the corridor that runs through La Defense has many linear vistas of plane trees. La Defense is open everyday and tourists can enjoy the garden there for free.
