Le Musee d'Orsay

This station was threatened to be demolished in the 1970s. However, this did not happen due to the protestations of the Parisians. This act of saving the station, resulted in it becoming a listed building. It was converted into a museum in the year 1979 and this deed was entrusted to the able hands of the Milanese architect, Gae Aulenti. Now, the museum houses a collection of Impressionist works of art. It also has art noveau furniture that is worth your time.
