Louvre Paris

The Louvre museum is famous for being a rich representation of the French artistic heritage. In fact, you can find this place in many famous novels and movies. There are a lot of priceless paintings at the Louvre including the most famous painting of all, the Mona Lisa. Leonardo da Vinci's famous masterpiece has hung here for well over a century and is located in a climate-controlled environment inside the Louvre. There is also a wonderful collection of famous sculptures that are placed here and one of them is the very famous Venus de Milo. This sculpture was done by Samothrace who also created the Winged Victory. The Louvre has an exhibition room that is often appreciated by visitors because of its collection of Baron Edmond de Rothschild works. There are many engravings, drawings and illustrated books that are kept her for everyone to enjoy. Other exhibits include architecture, archeology and historic exhibits. There is also a grand furniture collection that is a favorite amongst antique enthusiasts. The Grand Louvre project that has opened in the north wing of the museum and contains several small internal courtyards. The greatest attraction, however, is the and is the spectacular glass pyramid that is set at the center of the palace. The Louvre has many wonderful surprises.
