Great location.one can get a good night's sleep, what it would be like in summer, is difficult to gauge.
The lift broke down two out of the three nights we stayed resulting in a walk up six floors! not desirable after a long day of sight-seeing. dunno if this is a regular feature but i wouldn't take a second chance.maclean

Relax stay , very close to central station and city centre.
The staff attitude wasn't friendly and it was due to the lack of staff, we believe that one staff is not enough and atleast it should be 2 staffs working at the reception. Hamilton

The hotel is bang opposite to gare du nord station, in fact one of the exits of the station lands in front of the entrance of the hotel. we found this very convenient. restaurants around the hotel are open till late. the staff is very friendly and helpful. they have good knowledge and information about the places of interest and answered all my questions/queries. The room was very small, literally a double bed a small table and a small bathroom which just meets the purpose. in the picture (on the site) the room looks a lot bigger. due to its proximity to the station, it is very noisy at night if you keep the window open. there were bugs/dust mites in the bed which was really uncomfortable. i would spend a little more and prefer to stay a little away from the station next time and get a better hotel.Anonymous

The hotel is just opposite of the gare du nord station and it is very convenient when going to/coming from the cdg airport. the room size was just ok. there are a lot of bistros and any kind of restaurants just a few steps away.The room was not very clean, i could see some dirt on the floor (probably no vacuum cleaner that day?) one of the towels had also several hair on it. this hotel is probably good for single or business travelers (mostly male) Anonymous

The staff was friendly and were of good aid. the rooms were okay.The hotel was not the cleanest hotel i ever stayed. it was one of the cheapest hotels and still i think the price was quite something.Anonymous

The richmond was right across from the gare du nord train station which was convenient. the richmond had a big sized bathroom so we wasn't crowded.The t.v didn't work, no air conditioned in rm. 224. the carpet was nasty and i was afraid to get under the covers. i slept on top of the covers.Anonymous

It was good stying there..but the staff recommended one city tour bus(which dint cover all the places and can be considered as not the best city tour bus) and took 8 euros from us .the bus dint pick us up from the point told by the hotel staff and we later took different bus after telling the staff but the staff dint give the 8 euros back. its not the matter of 8 euros but the promtness. he should have been generous to us(paris tourist) and given back the amount and told us tkae a different bus.and the person knew tht the bus he recommended was not good....Anonymous

The rooms were small and old, but they were clean and comfortable. the hotel staff was excellent. they were extremely helpful with regard to looking up times for museum openings to directing us to the nearest atm. they also suggested wonderful restaraunts within our budget.Upon arriving to hotel richmond we were sent around the corner to the new hotel. this was a little bit confusing but they said that on the website it is listed wrong. on the website it was not listed that the rooms did not have air conditioning.Anonymous
