The hotel is situated in the middle of the 9th district, near Place de l'Opera, the Madeleine and the Garden of Tuileries. The hotel is located in the heart of Paris in a quiet street and only 10 meters away from Folies Bergères, Musées Grévin and Théâtre de l’Opéra.
How to reach the hotel?From Charles de Gaulle airport: Take RER B until « Gare du Nord » station, and then switch to line 4 until « Strasbourg Saint Denis » station. From there take line 8 or 9 until « Grands Boulevards » station. The hotel is a few minutes walking from the metro station.

We did not stay in the rex, though that was where our booking was. we stayed in the hotel next door called the compadore. it was in a fairly good location, near to bars and restaurants and the metro station. 
The hotal was hard to find as it is down a kind of back ally. like everything in paris it was expensive and the room wasn't as clean as it could be but you get what you pay for and we were on a budget. overall it was ok and we didn't spend a lot of time in the hotel.Anonymous

It was good value for the money we paid and reinforces the rule that you get what you pay forThe decor was tired and there was building work directly outside the only window to our room but it was not expensive so i can't complain.Anonymous

The location is good.The hotel including the room is not very clean. the shower (the part where the water comes out) was full with mould. the hotel is badly maintained. there were 2 towels and one little soap for 3 people. the staff is not friendly. i will be travelling ofter to paris in the commming months but wil not stay in this hotel again. unfortunately i am unable to recommend this hotel. Das personal war sehr freundlich und man hat deutlich bemerkt, dass das hotel familiär geführt wurde. wir haben uns auf jeden fall sehr gut aufgehoben gefühlt.
das hotel war auch sehr flexibel mit dem frühstück; es wurde einfach gewartet bis alle hotelgäste aufgestanden waren.
die betten des hotels waren gut, allerdings war die sauberkeit des zimmers für deutsche massstäbe nicht sehr gut. da ich häufig in hotels in hotels dieser sterne-klasse übernachte, wusste ich einfach was ich in der hinsicht erwarten konnte.
der preis (eur 90,00) für ein trippel-zimmer für ein hotel in der lage (sehr zentral, ruhig in einer art sackgasse) ist unschlagbar.Anonymous

Kon mijn auto niet parkeren moest ik maar 6 straten verder doen en ze wisten daar niet hoe lang wij zouden blijven, na 3x uitleggen hadden ze het in de gaten.
