The Hospital Nacional Arzobispo Loayza located at Alfonso Ugarte Street in Lima is one of the sights of Lima because of its 457 years of existence. It was founded by the First Archbishop of Peru and America, Don Jero'nimo de Loayza in 1549. The hospital was first established to serve the indigenous population and to care for the health of the people. The Peruvians were affected by diverse diseases that were said to have been brought by the Spaniards who colonized the county. The natives were not considered as human beings that’s why they did not have access to health services.
In case of the need for health services, one of the things to do in Lima is to go to the Archbishop Loayza National Hospital that efficiently provides health services. This hospital will rehabilitate the health of patients through its modern equipment and qualified doctors. The hospital also believes that prevention is better than cure that’s why it is also committed in informing the community of preventive measures in order to lessen the risks of getting sick.
