Universidad de Lima or the University of Lima, named after the capital of Peru is one of the Lima attractions. It was founded in April 25, 1962 and is one of the top private universities in the country. A group of professors, business, and industry representatives decided to create the University of Lima. The school started in a small campus located in the Jesus Maria District and during that time, they only had 120 students. The school grew quickly and so, the administrators had to expand it. It is now able to accommodate 10,470 students.
Visiting the university is one of the things to do in Lima. The University of Lima currently has eight schools, a postgraduate school, and a scientific research institute. The university aims to prepare young students to become professionals with ethical norms and democratic principles so that they can bring about change and development in the whole Peruvian society.
