Trujillo Hotels and Accommodation
Trujillo, Peru, is ranked as the country’s second largest city. It is in the province of Trujillo, and is the capital of the department of La Libertad. Trujillo was founded in 1534 on the orders of the Spanish conquistador Franciso Pizarro, who named it after his hometown in Spain. Trujillo’s climate has earned it the title of Ciudad de la Eterna Primavera (the City of Eternal Spring). There are excellent beaches and good surfing nearby. Casa de la Emancipacion is one of the most important historic buildings in the city. It was here in 1820 that Peru’s revolution against Spanish rule was launched.
