In southern Poland are discount hotels in Zakopane. Zakopane is a beautiful region well known for outdoor sports and activities all year long. It is situated at the foot of the Tatra Mountains and offers excellent alpine skiing at the only Carpathian alpine range. Visitors to the area will enjoy all the amenities of a winter sports resort when on a ski holiday. The Kasprowy Wierch Cable Car traverses the mountainside when carrying skiers to the mountain. It is open and running during the summer months and it is great way to see lovely scenic vistas.

Another winter favorite of guests at budget hotels in Zakopane is the Wieka Krokiew Ski Jump. Many famous skiers have left their mark at this ramp and local lore can be overheard in the cafes at the bottom of the mountain. After a long day of skiing during the winter or hiking and climbing in the summer the cafes in Zakopane serve up a local delicacy called Oscypek, a smoked sheep's milk cheese.
