Located in the lovely Old Town Square is the famous Mermaid Monument.

For anyone to know anything about the city of Warsaw they would surely know how closely intertwined Warsaw is with the mermaid. The lovely mermaid has been a Warsaw symbol since around the 15th century, and is located on the Warsaw coat of arms. There is a monument in the square that stood their proudly up until the Second World War where it was thought to have vanished. The monument is noe back in its original location in the square for all to see.
