There are so many lovely monuments in the city of Warsaw it will be difficult to decide which of them to go and see first. One of the most interesting and lovely monuments in the city is the Monument of the Warsaw Uprising. The Warsaw Uprising took place in the year 1944 and saw many Polish people loose their lives in the struggle to keep their city from destruction by the Nazi’s.

The lovely monument is dedicated to all those who died during those many days, which is in the number of two hundred and twenty five thousand civilians, and around twenty thousand from the Polish Army. This monument is a great place to go to learn all about the Warsaw Uprising and all the events that happened during those sixty three days it took place. This is a sad but interesting monument in the city; while there visiting it go and see all the other great monuments in Warsaw.
