There are many historically important and impressive buildings located all over the great cities in Poland. One of the best cities to go to see lovely buildings is the city of Warsaw. There is a great building in the city called the Ministry of Education or the Museum of Struggle and Martyrdom. The building is a little overwhelming at first and difficult to understand because it is so large and imposing. This building has a very full history including being the Gestapo headquarters during the Second World War.

The Ministry of Education is a building where a huge number of Polish people died during the war; the basement was set up as a torture chamber and many lives were lost. This building may be difficult to go and see but it is a very important part of the history of Poland. There is a memorial to the lost lives located in the basement of the building.
