The Torre Vasco da Gama or Vasco da Gama Tower is located in Lisbon. It is named after the 15th century Portuguese explorer Vasco da Gama. The 145 m/476 ft-high steel lattice tower evokes the shape of a nautical sail, and was built over the Tagus River in 1998 for the Expo 98 World Fair.
