If you choose to stay in a cheap hotel in Lisbon near the Colombo shopping mall, you can save cash to spend on your shopping. Colombo Mall in Lisbon is one of the largest shopping malls in all of Europe, so what better way to while away a day than engrossed in a day of retail therapy. This Mall really does have something for everyone. It has more than just a wide range of shops, as you would expect, but it is more of a leisure complex combined with shops. There is a bowling alley, dozens of fantastic restaurants and a health club to work off the heaviest lunch.

You can also go to the Colombo shopping mall to take in one of the latest films at the multiplex cinema. There is plenty to entertain the children too, with a funfair and rides that include a roller coaster. Believe or not, there is even a go-cart track in this shopping mall. So even if you are not a particularly keen shopper, it is worth visiting just to see how they managed to cram so much into one place. The Mall is easy to get to, being located on the Avenida Lusiada on the Blue Line of the metro near the Benfica Stadium (Colegio Militar/Luz Linha Azul stop).
