How to reach the Hotel William? How to reach the Hotel William?
The best way to get to the hotel is taking a taxi or a combination of public buses and subway train. If this is the case, take bus No. 199 from the airport to Dejvická station, then the subway green line A to Malostranska station. From there, take the tram No. 22 to Hellichova station. Once here, there are a 200 m. walk to the hotel.

This hotel is in a great location for sightseeing in prague, we were literally minutes away from the charles bridge. the vast majority of the sights of prague are well within walking distance - we did not need to use public transport once. the hotel itself was lovely, the room was clean and everything was in working order. the staff were friendly and helpful, even though there seemed to be a misunderstanding about the price of the room (they quoted a different price when we arrived to that given by this website, but they agreed to honour the price we had been given, no questions asked). don't let the somewhat zany appearance of the hotel put you off, this 'decoration style' is limited to the breakfast room and reception - the rooms are tastefully decorated. breakfast was great with a good selection of different types of food to fuel a day of sightseeing. there was a safe in our room, it cost 100 crowns for each night you used it but we felt it was well worth the money for peace of mind. finally, the pub under the hotel serves the cheapest beer we found in prague and has a great atmosphere! overall, the hotel is excellent value for money and i wouldn't hesitate to recommend it.
If you are not used to living in a city as we are, you may find the traffic noise a bit much (the hotel is next to a busy road and tram route), especially as during summer you have to sleep with the windows open - there is no air con! this was a very minor negative for us though.
