Carolinium Prague

The Gothic remains include the Oriel Chapel, the Arcade and the walls. The Oriel window is a fine example of this particular style. The courtyard is neo-Gothic from the reconstruction following World War II. Today, the Carolinium serves a limited function. It is host to only special ceremonial rites. These include graduation ceremonies. The Carolinium has also acted as a venue to special festivals such as the International Edgar Allan Poe Festival and Czech Foreigners’ Week. While visiting the Carolinium, you can also drop in for a visit to an art gallery in the vaulted labyrinth.
